The battery widget in my panel goes to red as soon as I unplug my power cord, showing 9% battery power, and over four hours of time left. The acpi command shows that the battery is actually at 98%. The widget continues to consistently show 1/10 (round down) of the actual battery power as the thing discharges. Most likely, the percentage is parsed wrong somewhere. This is a Thinkpad W520 with Ubuntu 11.04 on it. The wrong display is not a major issue, but the fact that my system believes it is at 5% battery when it is actually at 50%, and suspends at that point, is quite a show-stopper.

Oh, I'm barking up the wrong tree. This is in fact a upower bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upower/+bug/770881 . Sorry for the noise.
