If I start with a new ".config" directory, and start up just xfdesktop (don't even need the rest of the xfce apps to demonstrate this), and call "xfcalendar" through the default desktop menu, the app fails to load. If I try a second time, it may/may not load. If I keep trying, sometimes it loads, and sometimes it doesn't load. I tried to do an strace to solve the problem, but when I did an strace, the program loaded, and the whole X session locked up until I killed the panel from another window. If I call "xfcalendar" from the command line, it always works. If I call it by clicking on the time, it always works. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. remove .config 2. login 3. call up xfcalender through the "Office" menu of the desktop menu. Actual Results: xfcalendar did not start. Expected Results: xfcalendar should start.
In addition to my previous email, the problem doesn't have anything to do with xfdesktop. If I erase ".config" and try to login and then try to start "xfcalendar", the command hangs and never returns. If I do an strace
