Created attachment 3731 Screenshot of the problem Summary mostly says it: In the "Desktop"-Preferences Window in the XFCE4 Settings manager, we have 2 buttons, one for removing images from the list, and another one to create lists. Both are always grayed out, no matter what i do.
xfdesktop-settings was changed in 4.11 to remove a lot of this confusion. So this isn't present anymore.
