i set it to ignore statically mounted partitions and ~/.gvfs, which i expanded ~ manually. randomly, after reboot, it forgets its settings and uses its default ones. i notices many .tmp files in .config/xfce4/panel directory, if that's means something to you.
Some questions.. : - do you still experience the bug, and if so which version ? - can you rebuild it from source and pass --enable-debug to ./configure ? The verbose output is in your session manager output (depends on your distro setup..) - how do those .tmp files look like, and what is their full name ? (ie look like mount plugin config files or not ?)
i stopped using it a couple of weeks ago, i will re-enable the plugin and give it another try and report back here as soon as i spot the same problem.
The plugin config read/write is a bit.. special, it writes only options different from defaults while usually we write all options regardless of its value. I'll rework it for next version and we'll see if that improves things.

i have been kept trying. the version now i'm using is 0.6.4. this plugin seems to get updates quite often recently, so i am not sure if i have give it enough time to fairly report back here that this bug is fixed or not. anyway, the problem is not occurring for a few weeks now. normally, i boot and shutdown my system twice or three times a day. if by the frequency of usage, we can deduce the bug is fixed, i'd be happy to see this bug fixed. i am sorry to keep this thing for so long. despite the fact that i want to report back here with some certainty, i should have said something during so long a time span.

Hopefully the next release is only due to many translation updates ;) > anyway, the problem is not occurring for a few weeks now. normally, i boot > and shutdown my system twice or three times a day. if by the frequency of > usage, we can deduce the bug is fixed, i'd be happy to see this bug fixed. So are we. > i am sorry to keep this thing for so long. despite the fact that i want to > report back here with some certainty, i should have said something during so > long a time span. Nevermind. Glad it works for you now.
