I would very much like to see an option to revert the width of items on the
taskbar to 4.0.x behavior - I.E. if I have 2 two apps open each item/button on
the taskbar gets 50% of the available width, if 3 items, 33%.

The current fixed-widths of items leads me to have numerous items with titles
that can't be destinguished from each other.

I disagree, I thought it looked bad before and looks good now.

This was an aesthetic decision, and people have alternately praised and
criticised it. I'd say try it for a while, and see if you get used to it. A
pref is certainly possible, but it's up to someone else (Jasper? Olivier?
Benny?) to approve or reject it, since I don't care enough either way.

I'm not going to add a preference for that, I'm sorry.
