When a new notification is spawned, the notification briefly appears in the middle of the screen and is then moved into the specified corner. This not only is not pretty, but also interrupts the picture if, for instance, I change the volume with the volume buttons while I'm watching a movie.

This only seems to happen when compositing is disabled.
