Please,add ability to have two panels one right above the other, as it is
possible in Gnome2. I prefer to use two panels at once, one for icons and
second for open applications (opened window's list). I don't like switching
workspaces all the time, so I prefer to have separate panel for this but not at the top.
Here is how it may look in Gnome2 (on Linux Mint Julia):

I don't like Gnome Shell and I'm considering switching to Xfce, but I really miss this feature in Xfce.
I know not everybody uses panels this way but the more options the more satisfied users.

In 4.8 there already is such a feature, the separator plugin can act as a new-line separator, doubling the panel size. The 2 panel way adds a lot of complexity with panel positioning (in fact, gnome add a 2nd box to the same panel), so I choose for this way.
