patch installing relative symlinks for docs/images

I am preparing OpenEmbedded ( oe see http://openembedded.net/index.php/Main_Page ) cross building support for xfce 4.8.0. During packaging oe complains about dangling symlinks for docs. I worked around these warnings by patching as attached. Since I do not see problems for POSIX environments - is it interesting for exo mainline too?
