From downstream bug report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=670144 There's a test case program attached there. Basically some system tray icons are reversed from what they should be showing. Perhaps a buffering issue? Happy to gather more info or details.
I don't see any issues here; that said there have been a bunch of fixes in master that will be picked in 4.8.1, so i might've accidentally fixed it. Could also be a video-driver related problem.
Cool. I can retest with 4.8.1 or get the folks seeing this to do so. Any timeline on when that might be released?
In a week or so.
Any news about this?
Asked for the downstream folks to test. From there: "Somewhat better but the issue still persists. now the icon is changed after the next key events. but what we are expecting here is to see the icon change on the first key event. i.e. when hitting ctrl+space say."
Tried the test program and it works fine here also the rendering of the icon is not handled by the panel, but the external application, since its a socket/plug system.
