the title says it all. when renaming a note (using F2 or menu>rename), typing the new name and pressing Ok, name change is made but the window closes. This doesn't affect the xfce4-notes process, which is still running, and xfce4-popup-notes makes the window show again. using debian squeeze, notes 1.7.6 thanks for this really nice app :)
Can you tell me about your window manager and window manager behavior? Focus settings etc. Thanks.

Hello, I attached my xfwm settings file. I have also noticed that I only have this problem if the Notes have the "skip taskbar" property... Thanks
Great, an entire conf file. I tried to reproduce, however without success. I'll probably fix this in another way, that is drop the small window and put an entry right into the tab.
In fact it doesn't really close the window, but it brings the window that is UNDER the note to the front. For example, if I have a web browser window (maximized) open under the notes window, i rename (or delete) a note, and press ok; then the browser window comes to hide the note window, and has focus. This is less inconvenient when the browser window doesnt really cover (not maximized) the notes' window area. but the notes still lose focus then. dropping the "rename" window would not solve it totally. After testing a bit, it seems that this happens with "delete note" too. as I said, it's really minor but i uses xfce4-notes a lot. still unreproducible? my version numbers Paquet : xfwm4 État: installé Version : 4.6.2-1 Paquet : xfce4-notes État: installé Version : 1.7.6-1+b1
Thanks for the additional information, in fact now I know the bug you are mentionning. I already reproduced this, and I also noted that this happens only when the "hide from taskbar" option is checked. I'll see what I can do about it.
After 4 years, old bug is old. Cleaning the bug tracker. I don't use xfce4-notes anymore, xpad suits me.
