Description JPL 2010-11-10 06:17:25 CET
The version of xfce4-screenshooter 1.7.9 included with Ubuntu 10.10 doesn't seem to have the -h / --hide command line option that was in previous versions. This breaks various shell script-based usages wherein a screenshot could be captured and saved without requiring action from the user.
Comment 1 JPL 2010-11-10 06:19:18 CET
Worth noting, this option is in the application's man page:

-h, --hide
Do not display the save dialog

but not in its --help output.

Sorry, I'm not going to add this back, have a look at scrot for such an usage. I just removed the option from the manpage, so it will not appear in the next release.

Cool. Thanks for the heads up on scrot; I didn't know about it. Hopefully anyone else who misses this feature will find this bug.
