Hi,

With xfdesktop 4.7.2 (gio version), when I want to enable "display compositing" in xfwm4-tweaks-settings, wallpaper disappears, and background become gray.
If I launch "xfdesktop --reload", all becomes ok.

With --enable-debug-full in xfdesktop, nothing is print in log about this.

How to reproduce:
Install xfdesktop 4.7.2
Launch xfwm4-tweaks-settings => Compositor
Enable display compositing

I can confirm this behavior (using nvidia-drivers, with X.org 1.9.x if that matters at all)

Hi,

I can reproduce it on an other laptop (intel card).
For information, if I enable desktop icons, the problem does not occur when I enable display compositing.

I can reproduce it here as well. Weird.

Seems I fix this in 45b3697.
