I'm a proud Gentoo user of the ~x86 type from the beginning and a big fan of small WMs/DEs as XFce4. So currently I just upgraded to rc3 and some of my system update included torsmo (Which i'm in love too). But now it seems to me that there is some problem: when I start torsmo it draws on the screen, but then disappears. After moving some window to (or over) that area of the desktop then move back torsmo reappears, then - as it updates - disappears again :-( Don't know if it's a torsmo or xfdesktop problem. My things are: [/home/bzs :: 10:56 :: 2] [bzs@botykai-zsolt] $ torsmo -V torsmo 0.18 compiled Jan 5 2005 [/home/bzs :: 10:56 :: 2] [bzs@botykai-zsolt] $ xfdesktop -V This is xfdesktop version 4.1.99.3 for Xfce 4.1.99.2 built with GTK+-2.4.14, linked with GTK+-2.4.14. Just tried the solution suggested in this bug: http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=610 But this: # torsmo -w `xprop -root XFCE_DESKTOP_WINDOW | sed 's/.*# \(.*\)/\1/g'` doesn't help, torsmo still flashes, and disappears as it updates. So I'm really sad now... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. use xfdesktop 4.2 rc3 and torsmo 0.18 2. 3. gtk+ 2.4.14
as i said before, this isn't fixable. looks like a bug in torsmo.
OK, then i'll search for torsmo's bugzilla, thx for your fast answer.
