To recreate problem and get "debug info" from the command line: 1) Open terminal 2) Run "gigolo" 3) Create a new bookmark for windows share if none exists 4) Open windows share Problem: GUI - no reaction to opening windows share TUI - console output follows: gvfs-open: smb://DOMAIN;username@server/share/: error opening location: No application is registered as handling this file *The name of the domain, username, etc. were changed for security/privacy reasons.
This seems like a GVfs bug ("No application is registered as handling this file"). Maybe you don't have the appropriate Gvfs backend for SMB installed or any of its dependencies? Anyway, please file a bug report against GVfs as Gigolo is just a frontend.
