Suggested implementation

Sometimes it's uses to select all text in a terminal to paste it somewhere else, e.g. in an editor.

The attached patch adds a keybinding and a menu item for this functionality.

The menu item can be skipped if not wanted but I think the keybinding would be useful.

After almost one year, Nick, do you think you'll apply it?

I'd really like to see this and think other people will find it useful as well.

What about saving the terminal buffer. Wouldn't those two overlap?
Comment 3 Enrico Tröger editbugs 2011-06-19 13:44:59 CEST
That would be cool as well, I don't mind which of the features to be implemented. Would be happy with both :).

What I meant was: would select all mostly be used to save the content to a file (select all -> open editor -> past and save).

But I guess I can add both, applied in e5cbffb.
