Hi. First of all, did you remove the notification area from the taskbar? There
can be only one at the time.

Secondly, the systray does not display system load, memory, etc, that's the
System Load plugin. The systray provides an area for so called notification
icons, for programs that support it, like gaim, rythmbox or xfcalendar.

The system load's plugin as you mentioned is named System Tray for me on the Add
New Item Window (right click on the clock). Which notification do I have to remove ?

Thank you

If that is true it's a major bug in the translation, but I can't really believe
that. System Tray and Sysload are two very different plugins. Are you really
sure about this?

settings manager -> Taskbar -> Show notification area

If you don't run the taskbar, this is of course not necessary.

Sorry for this misunderstanding between system load's and system tray plugin. In
fact, I forgot to install the xfce4-systemload gentoo package. Before I tested
the 4.0.6 of xfce and this plugin (system load) was installed in default
configuration.
Aside from that, when I desactivate the notification area, I am able to insert
System Tray in the panel. I'm sorry but what is the function of the system tray
plugin ?

Really thank you for your patience and excuse me again.
Continue you good job and set speed of your interface as your primary objective.

Thank you.

No problem, good to know it works.

Not everyone uses the taskbar ;-)

Thanks for reporting.
