Hello, Summary: The xfce4 quit dialog always quits and can not get aborted. The problem occurs when the hal daemon is not started (gentoo/linux, xfce 4.6.2). Reproduce: 1) /etc/init.d/hald stop 2) Open the "Exit/Logout/Shutdown" dialog. 3) You have two choices now: Logout or Cancel. Both will quit the x-session here. Workaround: 1) Start hald Kind Regards gizmore
That the session manager, the window manager has nothing to do with that. Moving to correct component.

Reassign to xfce-bugs@xfce.org.
According to Suominen bug reports, this is fixed in xfce4-session 4.8.0. As Xfce 4.6 won't get any additional bug fix release, I'm closing this.
