It would be great to have /media mounts visible in the treeview as a root tree component. Nautilus does something similar and Thunar already does that for removable devices. Why not add the same behavior for everything that is in /media, /mnt or whatever general purpose mount directory ?

A possible (hopefully straight forward) implementation would be to have shortcuts accessible in the tree view...
