Hi!

In the desktop settings, there is one option to
a) set the desktop icon style (to choose from: none, minimized apps, files/starters) and the option to display default icons.

The corresponding setting is stored as
Xfconf:/xfce4-desktop/desktop-icons/style

If the style is 2, the settings to display or hide the standard symbols
(Xfconf:/xfce4-desktop/desktop-icons/file-icons/show-{filesystem,trash,removable,home} are taken into account and work.

If however minimized apps-icons is selected (style=1), the setting is not taken into account at all.

This may until now have seemed to be self-evidently correct, however I'd like my xfce-desktop to show minimized apps on the desktop, display the applications menu on right-click AND have the default icons on my desktop.
I do miss all four of them, however I miss the easy access to the removable drives most.

Could you tune xfdesktop to take the show-standard-icons setting into account, even if the "show only minimized apps"-Style is set? I'd really appreciate that.

Regards
