Hello,

I managed to clear a few memory leaks. Patch attached (against git head)
Now it is muuch better for me.

Thank you very much for your efforts. I thought I got them all before... Anyway, with your patch, the plugin doesn't run anymore. Please make sure you uninstall all xfce-sensors stuff before and try again both with hddtemp setuid and with hddtemp daemon. It is also important which versions of Gtk and Glib you are running. I have Glib 2.24.

The ACPI part works. hddtemp.c cannot be patched like that and makes the program/plugin hang, esp. due to the newly introduced g_error_free. The part for sensors-plugin.c works as well at least.
