Created attachment 2963 expanded task list with 2-pixel intrusion to the second desktop Here are some issues when using xfce4.6.1 on XUbuntu Karmic with a dual-monitor setup: 1. when opening more windows, the task list continuously expand and eats up all the spaces for timer, quick-launcher and buttons at the right side (see my attachment) 2. when 1) happens, the right edge of the xfce4-panel is not bounded by the parent monitor boundary, but 2-pixels extended to the second monitor (again, see my attachment, notice the firefox icon is expanded to the second desktop). Anticipated results: when opening more windows, the xfce panel widths should be bounded by the parent monitor width, when this limit is reached, the button sizes on the task list should shrink, rather than pushing everything to the right while maintaining the task button size.

I doubt I get to this in the 4.6 panel, since my time is rather limited atm. This behavior should already be a lot better in the 4.8 panel, if you want you can try the devel release. Corsac you have packages for that somewhere?
Nop, we're still trying to cook a plan for the transition (because of the ABI change in libxfce4panel requiring rebuilding all the plugins)
