on the panel when I'm clicking on the arrow ( located right beside notes yellow icon ) the list of all the notes ( which previously appeared down the arrow ) doesn't show up.

It seems however that something appears up above the panel but I can't see it.

I have something like 22 different notes so....

Thanks

This indeed sounds like a miss-positioned menu, but is that possible at all? I believe GTK+ would at least display a very small window with top/bottom menu items to hover with the mouse.

How did you layout the panel? Is it movable/fixed? Where is it? If you move the plugin to another place in another panel, does the menu work?

In the lack of being able to reproduce the bug I need more information

Sorry I don't know what you mean, if you need to know all the option in the windows "Propriétés" and "Configure the panel" just tell me.

Is it movable/fixed?

all Panels are fixed

Where is it?

If you click right over the panel and then open "Configure the panel" you can choose 12 positions for the panel, 3 on each side of the screen.

My initial setting was up/right , if I choose any of the three position in the up side of the screen same problem I can't display the list.

When I move the panel right or left side of the screen, any of the three position , it's funny cause I don't have the arrow anymore.

When I finally move the panel down the screen it works again I can display the list by clicking left on the arrow.

>If you move the plugin to another place in another panel, does the menu work?

If I move the plugin this is same results than if I move the panel i.e. :

up : click on the arrow no list displayed

left or right : no arrow

down : it works

I get something, 24 notes the list does not appears , 23 notes it works....

Hi Arnaud, I can see you spotted the bug very well and it helps. I will check if I have time to write a patch for 1.6 (or whatever gets delivered with Ubuntu 9.04), and then all you can do is ask your distro to include this patch. Will this be OK for you? I already did so for a package, and clearly getting such patches backported is usually a f*cking waste of time.

The latest version 1.7.6 doesn't have that arrow button anymore, now this menu is accessible via right click on the notes icon in the panel instead as a sub-menu.

May be it's not worthy to spend your time on this, I mean if I'm the first to report it...if someone is in trouble with the same issue in the future I hope he will check bugzilla and then reduce the number of his notes....Thanks again anyway Mike.
