This bug has been reported on Ubuntu Launchpad as:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/454815

The middle and right click (close tab or display a context menu, respectively)
on a Terminal tab only work when I click on a small region below the tab
label. When I click in the middle of a tab, nothing happens.

It worked in Ubuntu 9.04.

There has been a fix for this in 0.4.3. Please reopen if you still have this problem in the last stable release.
