panel plugin renaming will break existing install

Hi,

the orage clock panel plugin was renamed since 4.6, meaning it'll break users existing panels, because the previously installed plugin won't be found at next panel restart, and nothing will be migrated.

I'm not sure anything can be done about this (though is the rename really needed?), but it'd be nice to prevent configuration loss.

Cheers,

Yes, it is too late. I did not realise that the old plugin gets removed. As I only
compile new products on top of old ones. But obviously when doing real upgrage
using packages, old code naturally is removed.
Sorry for this. I learned my lesson, but I do not see any fix for this now. I will add a warning to NEWS.
