I've installed Parole 0.2.0.2 on Arch Linux in a VirtualBox VM. Apparently the vboxvideo driver doesn't support X-Video output.

Here is the output of xvinfo:

X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
 no adaptors present

Ok, I probably should've searched before I submitted this bug. I found the --xv=false switch. However, it's not a very intuitive way around the problem because it changes a setting without giving any kind of user feedback. I understand that silence is golden but I think this is worthy of an entry in the preferences/settings.

If possible it would also be nice to choose from available output drivers. I don't have gnome installed so I am missing gstreamer-properties. In this case I would like to use OpenGL because it's accelerated by my GPU via VirtualBox's Guest Additions. I can do this with mplayer but not sure how or if it's even possible with GStreamer.
