I have one reminder (event) with alarm for today, occurring once a forthnight. Today orage gave three alarms in a row for that one single reminder. I clicked OK to all of them, after which orage crashed.

Can you show the calendar file or at least the EVENT which causes this.

Do you mean this happened after some system update? What kind of update?
Perhaps that caused some instability?

I do not think this is Orage issue. Can't fix with the available data.
