Hey,

a Debian user requested to be able to see file extensions in the template menu, in case they are named the same and can only be differentiated using extension.

Downstream bug is at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=564537

Don't strip filenames extension in templates menu

I can't put the finger on a good reason to strip off the extensions, they are useful, and can even render a “bug” when you have sub-directories with dots in them, the directory name will look wrong.
