Right now, if I want to open a link in Terminal I have to ctrl+click on the link or right-click and select "Open link". It'd be nice to be able to just click on the links to open them. Perhaps the best way to handle this would be an option in Terminal preferences that controls what keys can open a link (click, double-click, modifier+click, etc). Terminal version is 0.4.2
No, that will make it too easy to open a link. Middle click on a link already works, which is good enough.
Hi Nick! What's the problem in making it easy to open links? If you think people will missclick somewhere on the terminal and open a link, then I don't agree with you. It's not common to left-click on the terminal, though it might be common to select a region and copy it, but this is not the same as just left-clicking. I know it's probably a good default to disable left-cliking on links to open them, but don't you consider users should be able to choose the behaviour that best suits them? By means of comparison, XChat, by default, does not open links by left-clicking on them but this behaviour can be overriden so as to allow left-clicking on links. I'm not asking you to change the default behaviour in any way, I'm just asking you if it's possible to support an alternative one. Thank you for your time, Alex.
