Weather applet comparison.  At left, XFCE 4.6.1.  At right, KDE 3.5.x

Whenever the user has a large/tall panel (i.e. anything over perhaps 30 pixels
in height), the weather applet should display more than one line of weather
info next to the icon.   In my case, my panel is about 66 pixels tall, large
enough to accommodate a few system monitor applets.  This results in lots of
unused space above and around that one line of text in the weather applet.

Compare with the KDE 3.5.x weather applet, which always shows at least three
lines.
