1. I am lazy to click the triangle with a mouse to go into the expandable menu item, instead I am used to press -> to do that and <- to jump up a level. In xfce this pretty standard option seems missing... 2. menus is xfce are not keyboard friendly, for example opening xfce4-popup-menu I would like to type s t go to settings, or sy to jump to system item and so on.

In > xfce this pretty standard option seems missing... Unless you're talking about one specific menu that behaves differently than others, this is entirely related to GTK+, not Xfce. We simply use the GTK+ menu classes which provide keyboard navigation with the arrow keys. If it doesn't work for you, something (outside Xfce) is wrong with your setup. > 2. menus is xfce are not keyboard friendly, for example opening > xfce4-popup-menu I would like to type s t go to settings, or sy to jump to > system item and so on. Yes, maybe this can be improved. I'm reassigning this to Brian who maintains xfdesktop, the application that ships the desktop menu.
