It would be nice if it would be possible to burn Video DVDs from a Video DVD filesystem like the "New Video DVD Project" in K3b. Just creating such a Video DVD as a Data DVD doesn't work. If a Video DVD is authored with Q DVD-Author, the filesystem of this Video DVD with its directories AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS and their contents are created. With K3b it's possible to create a new Video DVD project and just pull the files of AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS to the project and burn a Video DVD. With Xfburn it is generally possible to write a DVD image on the disc, but this needs an additional step before, which takes unnecessarily additional time. So it would be nice if such a Video DVD project could be implemented in Xfburn. I don't mean, that Xfburn shall be able to author a Video DVD. There are already pretty good tools for this purpose.
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. It'd be a nice thing to have, but I the libburnia libs xfburn uses can't create the UDF filesystem which videodvds need. I know it's on their todo list, but progress is likely to be slow since it's a big task to finish. I'll keep it open, but don't expect this any time soon. Q DVD-Author should be able to just generate an ISO - which you can already burn with xfburn.
