Creating a new event, should remember the selected date

When a date is selected in the panel plugin, and you create a new event (either with 
File -> New or with the ctrl - N shortcut) the date is always set to current date. 

It would be nicer if the default value for the date fits the current selection in the calendar. 

(Maybe this is fixed in the dev-version, didn't try .. )

no, it works the same way in the dev version.

Ok I just looked at the code, this seems to be doable even for my poor c skills,

Implemented in 4.7.4.10.
Thanks for the patch. I moved it to function.c, but other than that it worked fine.
