A queue for copying files would be great

Description HennR 2009-10-11 10:08:10 CEST
Well, the titles says it all.

A queue for copying files would be awesome.

Maybe a small pop-up (with 2 shortcuts) asking if you want to add this copy process to the queue or if you want it to start immediately.

Now with one copy window for all copy processes it should be easy to add a config option to make thunar copy one after another.
Copying multiple big files simultaneously usually causes performance issues. One would no longer have to wait for one copy process to finish in order to start the next one.

Yes, that's somthing that came into my mind, a nice idea!
However, there are cases where you could do the operation in parallel without performance issues (depending on which devices are involved).

Not efficient

Any news here? Copying files like these to a USB stick might not be the most efficient way...

Thanks for reporting and sorry for the long delay .. just noticed there is already a more detailed bug about the issue which even has a first patch. So I will close this one in favor of 12123
