Hello, i just discovered that the link to the trash bin opens up in Iceweasel. I'm not quite sure if it is a bug in the plugin or if there are problems in assigning filetypes to their right program.
Host/Kernel/OS "siduxbox" running Linux 2.6.30-5.slh.2-sidux-686 i686 [ sidux 2009-02 - Αιθήρ Preview 1 - xfce-lite - (200906291510) It is a recent xfce from the unstable repos.
Thanks for the bug report. I see that too on my Debian Lenny system with Xfce 4.6 from backports. It looks like at some point 'exo-open trash:///' stopped working. I haven't found an obvious alternative yet. One option is to use the same D-Bus interface as Thunar's trash panel applet (plugin), which would also let Bug 4356 move forward. It also looks like newer versions of exo-open (for Xfce 4.8 presumably) might allow 'exo-open --launch FileBrowser trash:///'. Maybe there's an easier and more immediate fix, though - I'll look/ask around.
Hi A quick search on Google shows that Zenwalk know this bug since February 2009 and uses this patch as work around : http://zenwalk.enialis.net/source/xap/xfce-plugins/xfce4-places-plugin-trash_url_fix.patch

Looks like exo 0.3.103 fixed this a while ago (see Bug 5777).
