hello, as of xfce 4.6, there is a 'Desktop' directory created in the user's home folder by default, which always reappears shortly after deletion (this did not occur in 4.4 and earlier). i personally always set the desktop icon type to "None" because i don't like clutter; hence i really don't need the 'Desktop' directory, so i want it to be gone. i think that a sane behaviour would be to only restore 'Desktop' when the user has the 'File/launcher icons' desktop icon option selected. it may also be useful to create an option to manually set the location of the 'Desktop' folder. thanks for your consideration. mike
That works fine here. With desktop icons set to "None", if I remove $HOME/Desktop, it doesn't get recreated.
perhaps this is a debian-specific problem. will report there. thanks.
