Im german and i have a spanish(nodeadkeys) dell laptop and every time when im restarting xfce the layout switched to german

Same thing. Settings are not restored after restart. Tested on xubuntu 10.10. xkb settings attached.

I am also experiencing this on xubuntu 11.04 Beta.

For the default keyboard layout, I managed to change this through the "Settings Editor" tool - but I badly need to set a keyboard shortcut for changing between keyboard layouts, and xfce4-xkb-plugin forgets my changes after every restart (always defaults to no keyboard shortcut).

Should be fixed in git master branch, feel free to reopen if it still happens.
