100% load core from xfce4-power-manager

When your laptop to change brightness (Fn-F7 or F8), one of the two cores running at 100%. He also appears artifact in the middle of the screen.

On my laptop never change brightness did not work - mayby bad kernel support - which is okay, but in earlier versions xfce4-power-manager I had no problems.

Laptop Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V3505,Archlinux 64-bit, chipset and video i945GM, xfce 4.6.1 and xfce4-power-manager 0.8.2.

set brightness using Fn-F7(F8) through the ACPI works well (and always work). Sorry for the confusion.

Seems that you have a backend driver problem, looking into lshal shows laptop_panel.num_levels = 0 which means that your brightness levels are 0!

You could report a bug for this to your distro provider.
