We're not responsible for SVG rendering.  gdk-pixbuf and librsvg does that.

sorry, but different icon rendering in in xfce core apps is for me a bug, thunar xfconf and every other tried app displays these icons nice, so for me its a bug in xfdesktop wich makes xfdesktop unusable...

Actually, looking at it again, I don't think the difference has anything to do with rendering.  It looks like Thunar is putting a drop shadow on the icon, but xfdesktop isn't.  I have no interest in adding a drop shadow in xfdesktop.

Again: Thunar and xfdesktop use the EXACT SAME SVG RENDERER: whatever gdk-pixbuf uses.
