I've set for orage my favourite font (Terminus) and seen, that set time fields (with unchangable size) covers some part of digits (how it looks like you can see on attached screenshot). I don't think that adding feature of changing size of these fields is a good idea. But the scaling of size of these fields depending on selected font family and size should be improved.

Yep, those size requests were added to make the window smaller. Now they are not limiting factor anymore, so they are not needed. Removing those so that GTK+ can calculate proper default sizes. This fix will appear in the next release.
