xfburn won't display symbolic links

RESOLVED: FIXED

Description Eugeni Dodonov 2009-06-07 01:27:13 CEST
Xfburn does not displays symbolic links when selecting files/directories to burn.

Use case: I have a primary /home/ partition, and a couple of other locations where I store big files (/mnt/disk, /mnt/d). I have symbolic links in my $HOME to these locations, to speedup file selection, but these are not displayed by Xfburn.

Hm, symlinks to directories were disabled. I'll have to check with p0llux if there was a particular reason for this.

For now I've enabled them. I'd appreciate testing, so if you could give r7542 a run that would be great.

Hi, r7542 works great, many thanks!

One thing that could be done to improve usability is to display 'Link to /somewhere' instead of just 'Folder'. Or 'Link to folder', like in thunar. But this is just a minor wish, the way folders work in r7542 is already fine for me.

Thanks!

I'm going to keep the current behavior of simply displaying symbolic links without special markings. In the long term some changes will come to the browser anyway - probably it will be replaced by GtkFileChooser.
