it seems that graphical pager in panel with auto-hiding enbled is resized every time the panel hides himself and then goes up, so there's an annoying graphic glitch, because in the bit of time the panel goes up its width changes. I'm not so good with english, this is what I mean: http://ghepeu.altervista.org/immagini/fuffa/panel.jpg I couldn't grab it in screenshots, but for a moment between 2 and 3 the panel is shown in the right side of the bottom of the screen, instead of in the center.
I think this is in the pager code, which is copied from GNOME's libwnck library, and I'm not sure I can change it. I'll have a look at it, but probably not before 4.2. Settings this as an enhancement request instead.
Ok, I just read my mail and it seems this didn't happen before. I'll have a look this weekend.
Ok, I tried to make this work. It does seem to work for me. Please test the upcoming RC2 release.
I've just compiled xfce4-panel CVS. The problem is nearly always fixed but it still occurs randomly but very rarely. Maybe when CPU use is higher, I'm not sure.

Ok, thanks for testing. I don't think I can do much more than this before 4.2. I will keep this bug open though, because I really would like to fix it.
After a few days I can tell that this bug now is related to system load: it occurs very frequently, for example, when I'm compiling something, and rarely during normal operations.
Ok, I'm sorry to say, but this seems to be inherent to the way the pager widget is implemented and I can't really change that. The way it is now, I don't think there is a solution. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
