Thunar, for some reason, can't rename a file if you only change the case of some/all characters.

For example, attempting to rename a folder called 'Misc' to 'misc' results in a message:

   'Cannot rename Misc: File exists'

Thanks

Hi,

With Thunar 1.1.4 (pre 1.2), the behavior is correct, I can rename file.txt to File.txt. Maybe related to the 'port to gio' part ?

I think this bug can be closed.

Callan which filesystem do you use?
Comment 3 Lionel Le Folgoc 2011-03-29 20:50:26 CEST
Yes, this is related to the filesystem used.
