Let's say I use grouping in taskbar and one window in the group gets URGENT
hint, the group button does not start blinking. I think it should at least
somehow let me know that something's going on.

click-on-focus seems to broken also. It doesn't focus until you click on
titlebar, but that's another bug already

ignore the last comment, that was meant to go somewhere else

I just came here to report this bug myself, so instead I'll just add my voice
here. Specifically, this is causing me a problem with Gaim message windows. I
prefer to enable taskbar grouping and I don't like message window tabs, so at
present I'm having to switch off the taskbar grouping just so I get notified
about new messages.

Thanks.

Is also causing me a problem with Gaim messaging windows & task bar grouping
Comment 5 Russ Brown 2005-04-08 09:51:05 CEST
Incidentally this is happening on 4.2.1.1 for me.

Still happening in 4.2.2.

This is fixed with the SVN version of libxfcegui4 (revision 21432). Thanks to Stefan Stuhr for pointing me to this bug. Please reopen if it doesn't work.

Thanks, Jasper, it works really well. The only little problem is that the background doesn't blink for the button of a grouped task on mouse hover and/or when another window in the task than the urgent/the one demanding attention have focus. Would it be possible to fix that?
