User-Agent: Links (0.96; Linux 2.6.22-2-686 i686) Build Identifier: Thunar 0.9.0 (Xfce 4.4.2) Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Reproduction of this bug is simple: Simply fire up Thunar so that it shows the Desktop directory in the X11 root window. Then, using a program that isn't Thunar (for example, Firefox), put a file in the Desktop directory. Thunar will fail to notice. Furthermore, there is no menu option or command-line option anywhere in Thunar's documentation that would enable you to see a new icon on the Desktop without restarting Thunar (which, on Debian, entails restarting the whole X11 session as well). Expected Results: Described in the description. There should be at least one way to get Thunar to show new files after they are stored on the Desktop.
Doesn't Ctrl-R work?
