I installed ristretto 0.0.21 on Ubuntu 9.04 beta and noticed that option "Set as wallpaper" available under View menu doesn't work. I didn't test it in XFCE, but I'm pretty sure the bug exists in GNOME 2.26 on Ubuntu Jaunty (despite installing about 18 MB files to fulfill the dependencies from XFCE).

Correct, the problem lies in the detection of nautilus.

Because it does not correctly detect if nautilus is running, it can't work with it. :-/

I'll see if I can fix that in 0.1.0 (the GIO version). :)

Git master has rudimentary support for gnome-3.
