Hi, I've been using Xfce power manager on Zenwalk 6 for quite a few weeks now, and have observed a few issues which I would like to bring to your notice. 1. While playing movies using Mplayer, I see that the screen blanks in accordance to the monitor standby settings. I understand this not an issue from xfpm's side, but it is still uncomfortable to press a key each time the screen blanks. Perhaps you can come with up with a way to see if a movie is playing and not blank the screen? XScreensaver does this, the screensaver does not kick-off, if movies are playing in MPlayer. 2. I use hibernate frequently, infact I use it instead of shutdown so I can use my open apps immediately. But I noticed that Xfpm does not set the backlight to the minimum, which it does if i boot normally, instead of resuming from hibernate. I have to manually decrease the brightness each time i resume from hibernate, it would be nice if Xfpm took over this. Please let me know if you need any more information regarding these. Thank You.

Instead of shutting down and closing all my apps, I hibernate, so I can resume work easily. 3. When the system wakes up from hibernation, Xfpm is running, but the lcd backlight is @ 100% Normally, when the laptop is running on battery, and Xfpm is running, the backlight is set to around 50% i think, to conserve power. But when the system wakes from hibernation, this is not done. Instead the backlight is left at 100% and I have to manually decrease it. Please let me know if this is clear, sorry if my english is confusing.

I don't think this is related to xfpm, since xfpm reduce the brightness when it detects that the system is running on battery. Which kernel module is controlling the backlight, is the video module, trying to do the above steps without xfpm, just by hibernating the system using the xfce4-session.
Please upgrade to 0.6.5, i will close this bug for now, if you still have any kind of problems that you think they are related to xfpm please re-open.
I reopened this bug, since the way of detecting if movie player is running is no longer valid with new DBus versions, i'll come to you later when i figure out a better way to avoid annoying the user. Ideally the user shouldn't open the settings of the power manager if he/she is watching a movie.
