There are some typos in the xfdesktop manual. * Backdrop - Icons - File/Launcher Icons 'the $XDG_CONFIG_DESKTOP folder' -> 'the $XDG_DESKTOP_DIR folder' ($HOME/Desktop is better?) * The Desktop Menu '$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/.config/xdg/menus' -> '$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/xdg/menus' '$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/.local/share/applications' -> '$XDG_DATA_HOME/applications' * Desktop Settings - Icons Tab - Appearence 'your $XDG_CONFIG_HOME directory' -> 'your $XDG_DESKTOP_DIR directory' ($HOME/Desktop is better?) * Desktop Settings - Icons Tab - Default Icons '[...] that is to say $XDG_CONFIG_HOME.' -> 'that is to say $HOME.' Not really -- it's incorrect. Though it might make sense to point out that the default is $HOME/Desktop and it can be changed via $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/user-dirs.dirs. > * The Desktop Menu > > '$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/.config/xdg/menus' -> '$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/xdg/menus' Actually not even. $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/menus. > '$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/.local/share/applications' -> '$XDG_DATA_HOME/applications' Yup. > * Desktop Settings - Icons Tab - Appearence > > 'your $XDG_CONFIG_HOME directory' -> 'your $XDG_DESKTOP_DIR directory' > ($HOME/Desktop is better?) Ditto. > * Desktop Settings - Icons Tab - Default Icons > > '[...] that is to say $XDG_CONFIG_HOME.' -> 'that is to say $HOME.' Yep. Thanks, all checked in!
