Steps to reproduce: 1 - Mount a sshfs share 2 - Browse the mountpoint with Thunar Results: The content of the mountpoint is visible for a split second, Thunar then skips back to previous/parent directory. Sometimes some of the content in that directory also gets hidden until you refresh. Additional info: - If you browse a symlink to a subdirectory on the sshfs share, it will skip back to the were the symlink is pointing. Seems like a duplicate of #4830. In case you are using fam, try gamin as mentioned in the other bug report.
