Hi,

with the spread of large widescreen monitors one can use workspace margins and put permanent windows beside the normal windows. I think this demands a mode between maximized and fullscreen mode.
In this mode the struts should be removed and the panels set to autohide but be still be accessible via hitting the workspace border.
Also should this mode respect the layer which the windows are in, i. e. the fullscreen window should not cover the other windows by default.
