After upgrading to X.Org 6.8.1 xfdesktop menu and windowlist won't disappear
from screen after being used. It seems as if the menus get stuck to the
background, they don't work anymore after being discarded, they just are there.
Only way to get rid of them is to move a window over them, the part which goes
under the window is gone when the window is removed.

I tried this with both 4.1.90 and 4.1.91 (compiled from source) and both have
the same problem. Version 4.0.6 with X.org 6.8.1 and my old 4.1.90 with XFree
4.3 worked fine.

I popped up some menus and then started xterm which appeared to top left
corner, then i closed the xterm. Theres no menus where the xterm used to be.

what's your gtk version, please?

pkg-config gtk+-2.0 --modversion

should tell you.
